At Edenham C of E Primary School we understand the importance of early reading, and the importance of teaching reading effectively from the earliest opportunity. We do this through Read Write Inc.

Children in EYFS and KS1 have 1 session every day, children are regularly assessed by Mrs Robinson (our phonics lead) to ensure they are in the most appropriate phonics group. By grouping children in this way across EYFS and KS1 (some children in KS2 also continue the RWI programme if needed) we are able to target children’s specific needs.
